Kongsvegen 75, Lillehammer, on the hill above Mjøsa. Two hours by direct train from Oslo Airport, or 145 km up the E6 by car. The last stretch, however you come, is the loveliest part.

Find the station under the terminal
Oslo Airport station (Oslo lufthavn stasjon) sits on the lower level of the airport building. Follow the train signs down from the arrival hall; with luggage it takes about two minutes.

Take a train toward Lillehammer or Trondheim
Board the Vy regional train, line RE10 or RE11, toward Lillehammer, or an SJ NORD service toward Trondheim. Both leave directly from the airport station and both stop at Lillehammer, so there is no need to go into Oslo and change. Departures run roughly once an hour through the day.

Ride for about two hours
The trip to Lillehammer takes 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours, much of it along the western shore of Lake Mjøsa. Sit on the left for the water.

Buy the ticket before boarding
Vy tickets: in the Vy app, at entur.no, or from the ticket machines in the arrival hall. SJ departures are ticketed separately at sj.no or in the SJ app.

The road
The E6, the whole way

Leave the airport following the signs for the E6 toward Hamar and Lillehammer, the Trondheim direction. Join the E6 north and stay on it: past the Gardermoen junctions, past Hamar and Brumunddal, with Lake Mjøsa on your left for most of the way. About 145 kilometers, roughly an hour and fifty minutes in ordinary traffic.

The E6 is a toll motorway. Rental cars in Norway carry an AutoPASS tag, so you drive straight through and the tolls land on your rental bill afterwards. Take the exit for Lillehammer, follow the local road to Kongsvegen 75, and park by the meadow gate beside the farmstand. Parking is free.
